Petunia Midnight Gold from Ball FloraPlantThe summer flower trials at Welby Gardens were well-attended, and the results, released earlier this week, were highly anticipated. The top three winners feature bold colors that are sure to be striking additions to next season’s landscapes.

In first place was Petunia Midnight Gold (pictured above left) from Ball FloraPlant. The plant features stunning color and large double blooms, This one-of-a-kind petunia is recommended for hanging baskets.

Second place was held by Delphinium F1 from AAS. Lovely blue flowers bloom early and provide vertical interest with compact, uniform blooms.

Digitalis Pink Panther from Takii took third place. The striking pink blooms are long lasting and attract pollinators.
