The City of Denver’s Community Planning and Development encourages residents to participate in the process of updating city building and fire codes. The public can propose code amendments through Friday, July 23 for the 2022 code.

Additionally, new codes and amendments will be reviewed by six technical advisory committees. Industry experts are invited to apply for those committees by October 1 in order to include a variety of expertise. The six committees are:

  • Commercial building
  • Residential
  • Energy
  • Mech/Plumbing/Fuel Gas
  • Fire
  • Green construction (Denver Green Code)
