Scam alertAs the Colorado landscape industry gears up for ProGreen EXPO 2018, scammers are looking for ways to take advantage of event attendees. Two known scams have already surfaced for past ProGreen attendees and exhibitors.

Hotel scammers have contacted attendees, offering to book rooms for the event. Sometimes callers claim to work for the organizers and can be convincing. But professionals should be aware that ProGreen EXPO does not make travel or accommodation arrangements. While they may negotiate special rates, all reservations must be made directly with the hotel.

Colorado green industry professionals have already received calls of this sort, from a caller who is not affiliated with ProGreen EXPO or its organizers in any way.

Additionally, scammers have emailed members of the landscape industry offering to sell a list of ProGreen attendee contact information. However, ProGreen does not share attendee information and does not make it available for sale. Email from those selling any ProGreen lists should be treated as spam and discarded.

If you are ever unsure about an offer, contact ProGreen EXPO directly at 303-798-3664.
