FAR clause
If your business bids on federal contractors or acts as a subcontractor on federal projects, you must use the E-Verify program. The E-Verify Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires contractors to enroll in and use E-Verify. As of January 5, you will need to provide your Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) to enroll in E-Verify if you are new to federal contracts. If you are already a federal contractor, you do not have to provide your DUNS number but will be prompted to enter it in E-Verify when you update your company profile. New Colorado minimum wage
Effective January 1 through December 31, 2018, Colorado’s minimum wage has risen to $10.20/hour. Wage Order Number 34 states that the order covers commercial support services, the definition of which includes businesses that provide landscaping and grounds maintenance. Proposed rule regarding association health plans
Organizations like ALCC are closely watching the proposed rule regarding “Definition of ‘Employer’ Under Section 3(5) of ERISA-Association Health Plans.” The regulation “would broaden the criteria…for determining when employers may join together in an employer group or association that is treated as the employer sponsor of a single multiple-employer employee welfare benefit plan and group health plan.”

Public comments are being accepted on the federal register through March 6, 2018.
