PRESIDENT
Mike Moore
Diggable Designs Landscape Construction, Denver

Mike is the CEO and one of the owners of Diggable Designs. Mike's interest in landscaping starting with the hands-on experience of working as a laborer for a small, design-build firm on summers throughout college. This experience turned Mike's education towards a bachelor's degree in Nursery and Landscape Management from CSU in which he graduated in 2005.

After working his way through the ranks to foreman, followed a two-year stint as a superintendent for a commercial landscape company in California's Bay Area, Mike returned home to Colorado and co-founded Diggable Designs in 2010 with his wife, Jessica, and his childhood friend, Dylan. Since getting Diggable off the ground, Mike's focus has shifted from sales and estimating towards building a strong team and enhancing systems to forge an enduring business model.

Mike and his team enjoy a productive relationship with ALCC. Mike has been an active participant in planning and implementing the Denver Chapter's Day of Service projects since 2013, earning him the ALCC Outlook Emerging Leader Award in 2015.

Mike enjoys spending time with his young family and performing as frontman in a local band, Weather Big Storm.

VICE PRESIDENT
Phil Steinhauer
Designscapes Colorado, Denver

Phil Steinhauer is CEO and owner of Designscapes Colorado, an award-winning landscape design firm in Denver. Although not a native of Colorado, Steinhauer has deep roots in the state. His great grandfather was one of Colorado’s first settlers, and his grandfather was Director of Mountain Parks. Steinhauer received a B.S. in landscape design from Colorado State University. He moved to the Northeast to start his career, but in the early nineties, he returned to Colorado and founded Deisgnscapes Colorado.

Steinhauer is one of the visionaries behind ALCC’s Sustainable Landscape Partners program. In addition to being a member of the task force, which developed the program, he has written curriculum to train landscape professionals, hosted meetings at his business, and openly shared his vision and knowledge about sustainable industry practices with other landscape companies. For his efforts, he was awarded ALCC's John Garvey Person of the Year Award in 2015.

SECRETARY/TREASURER
Craig Nesbit

Timberline Landscaping, Inc. Colorado Springs

Joining the company in 2017, Craig brings over 25 years of construction and real estate development experience to the position of Chief Financial Officer for Timberline Landscaping.   Craig holds an active Colorado CPA certificate, an MBA and Master of Real Estate Development (MRED).   He is responsible for the overall financial operations of the company including financial and job reporting, cash flow management and forecasting, strategic planning, risk management, and Information Technology among other duties.

Craig and his wife, Ann, have two children and when not working enjoys Colorado’s snow skiing, mountain biking, and physical fitness activities.

Matt Hiner
Hiner Outdoor Living, Colorado Springs

Matt Hiner founded Hiner Landscapes, now Hiner Outdoor Living, in 2007 and has been an active ALCC member, serving on the Southern Chapter leadership committee. His work to develop and implement 3D design tools for landscaping earned him The ELITE Award for Innovation in 2016.

Matt lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and business partner Melissa and their children.

Brian Carlson
Green Landscape Solutions LLC, Boulder

Brian is the owner and CEO of Green Landscape Solutions. In 1995 Brian and his father co-founded a small irrigation company. While working with his Dad, Brian's love of nature, combined with his love of art and building, led him to his true calling--the design and creation of beautiful outdoor spaces. He founded Green Landscape Solutions in 2002 and has been doing what he loves ever since.

He and his wife Kelly live on a small farm with their son Kian and their daughter Violet. In his free time, Brian loves to spend time in the outdoors hiking, backpacking, and growing vegetables.

Luis Estrada
CoCal, Denver

Luis works as a Senior Account Manager at CoCal Landscape Service. 18 years ago he fell in love with the green industry. Luis has been in various facets of the industry (irrigation tech, supervisor, account manager, snow removal). He currently holds the CLT certification in maintenance and a Qualify supervisor license through the CDA.  He also helps with the CLT Certification program and currently is on the CALCP board.

One of Luis’s goals is to be able to help the Hispanic community with training in the Landscape industry.

In his time off Luis loves finding outdoor adventures to enjoy with his family!

Ben FiskBen Fisk
Fisk Lawnscapes, Colorado Springs

Ben Fisk is the owner and founder of Fisk Lawnscapes, a premier full-service landscape company in Colorado Springs. Ben enjoys creating raving fans and transforming yards into beautiful spaces that clients love coming home too. Starting out in 2002 with just a mower and weed wacker, Ben now runs one of the foremost and fastest growing landscaping companies in the Springs.

Ben is married to his beautiful wife Nicole and father to his three children. Outside of work Ben is actively involved in his church and loves backpacking, fishing, camping and softball.

Zak George
Zak George Landscaping, Fort Collins

Zak grew up on a farm east of Colorado Springs where his family raised animals and were very active in their local 4-H club. He has been in the landscape industry for over 20 years. After graduating from Colorado State University and spending a year traveling, looking for that perfect career, it was then in 2005 that ZGL was born. Zak started the company with just a vision and a few tools to get his new business going. Through constant training and ongoing industry education, Zak and his team have led the company to become one of the best.  Zak is highly involved in the green industry from the local chapter of Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado, to sitting on water boards, mentoring and from time to time you will even catch him at speaking events about the industry. Zak enjoys being an active member of the community as he feels it is an important part of how ZGL is “a local business you can trust”.

Zak and his wife Robben have been married since 2007 and have 2 young boys, Holden and Bo, along with a few rescue pups. Together they enjoy finding new adventures as a family, traveling to places off the beaten path and searching for the world’s best churro.

Daniel Grange
BrightView Landscaping, Parker

Dan was raised in Colorado and cut his teeth in the industry working for two retired school teachers during high school summers.  After graduating from Brigham Young University-Provo with a degree in Landscape Management he spent three years working for a residential design build firm in Connecticut.  He jumped at the chance to return to Colorado and work for ValleyCrest (now BrightView).  He has held many roles in the company from estimator to project engineer to full-time recruiter.  In addition to his passion for plants and construction, he has developed an excitement for introducing people to the landscaping profession.  Dan has enjoyed his time working with ALCC to develop the Colorado workforce.

When he’s not at work, Dan loves to spend time with his active children and backpacking through the mountains of Colorado.

Eric Haugen
LandCare Management, Denver

Eric received his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University. Starting in the industry over 20 years ago, Eric has specialized in irrigation & water management, plant health care, maintenance and commercial account management. As an owner of LandCare Management, he strives to never stop learning and always promote transparent business practices. Eric has recently began consulting in the green industry and enjoys working with landscape businesses throughout the country.
