Good evening, Yesterday ALCC hosted another webinar for members, this time discussing HR and business topics related to the pandemic. It was two hours packed with valuable information and great questions from members in attendance. If you were unable to attend or want to review the information, you can listen to the recorded webinar here. Unfortunately, yesterday evening it was announced that funds for Payment Protection Program (PPP) loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), provided by the COVID-19 stimulus package, had been depleted and no new applications can be accepted. But like many of you, we have heard that there could be additional dollars made available for PPP and EIDL in a forthcoming additional relief act. With that in mind there are two things you can do:
We also learned yesterday during Governor Polis’s briefing yesterday that the state hopes to ease into the return of non-essential services. It appears that by Sunday or Monday we may have more information on that process, and we will share it with you as soon as it is available. Until then, it is more important than ever that we continue to practice social distancing and observe the recommended safety practices, wearing masks and gloves as appropriate to the situation. You can find the latest guidelines online from OSHA and CDC. In other news, in case you missed it, ALCC delivered updates on the H-2B and H-2A programs, as DOL released several announcements this week. Read the full announcements on our blog. As always, we continue to monitor the situation with regards to COVID-19 and its impact on the landscape industry. Please visit www.alcc.com/covid for resources and browse our blog for breaking news and additional resources for your company. You can also reach out to any ALCC staff with questions or to share information that may be helpful to your industry peers. Warm Regards, John John McMahon | Chief Executive Officer |
